Meet The General Officers, Executive Board
and Trustees of Local 200-C SEIU
DEANA FOX, President - With over ten years of experience with Local 200-C, Deana came to the Local shortly after it was chartered, and worked and lived through its tumultuous beginning. Learning her lessons from Tom Beatty, who served as Local 200-C President, Deana has negotiated nearly 80% of the existing contracts in the Local and has become fully familiar with labor relations in the private, public, and federal sectors. As the Local's Business Manager since 1993, she has also made Local 200-C a force to be reckoned with in the International Union and was recently appointed by SEIU President Andy Stern to serve as the first woman on the International's Building Service Industry Board, representing maintenance and janitorial workers on a national level. She also serves as an Executive Board Member of the Buffalo AFL-CIO Labor Council and on the Board of the Coalition for Economic Justice, and her activism on behalf of Local 200-C members has made her known and respected in labor, political, and community circles,
TONY LEONE, Vice President - Originally a rank-and-file leader in the former Local 200, Tony ran for office when Local 200-C was chartered in 1986 and beat the corrupt former president of Local 200 who sought to control the Local from Syracuse. Tony subsequently became President of Local 200-C when Tom Beatty left in 1993 and has led the Local since then while continuing to work as a maintenance person at the Rand Building in downtown Buffalo. Tony has been active and well regarded for years in labor circles for his devotion to both the labor movement in general and the membership of Local 200-C specifically. As both an Executive Board member and President of Local 200-C, Tony is very familiar with the Local's history and the needs of its membership. Now running for Vice President, Tony shares the vision of a stronger, more vibrant Local 200-C.
BETTY FINKNEY, Secretary-Treasurer - Betty ran and won in the original election for Local 200-C for Secretary-Treasurer, and she has served dutifully in that post ever since. A bus driver with the Pembroke School District, Betty has weathered the storms as the Local's chief financial officer working closely with Fund Administrator Deb Louttit in making sure the funds of the Local are safe and secure.

SUE DAHL, Executive Board (Trustee) - Chairperson of the Tonawanda School District cleaners unit and presently a Trustee, Sue brought her group into Local 200-C when their former Union failed to deliver for them.
KELLY SWITZER, Executive Board - A secretary at Hobart and William Smith Colleges, Kelly also serves as Chief Steward and has been active in coalitions with other unionized university and college workers.
BARB OWENS, Executive Board - Along with being a custodian and Steward for her co-workers at Buffalo's landmark Ellicott Square Building, Barb has long been active in Local 200-C's Justice for Janitors Campaign for the Union's janitorial Division.
